Delivered
"Crafty Business" digital file to the Bentonville Convention and
Visitors' Bureau today. They are using it on the front of the 2013 NWA
Craft Fairs brochure. You see a print of "About that Time" hanging on
the wall behind Diana Eike, which is what they originally planned to
use, but decided that it should be more "area inclusive," since Rogers
goes in with Bentonville to produce the brochure, so I did this painting
specifically for it. The original will be for sale at Norberta
Philbrook Gallery beginning next week.
The painting is
an "imagined" scene reminiscent of the War Eagle craft fair setting. You
see the War Eagle bridge in the background, a slight shadow of the
mill, then the scattering of craft tents. I know it doesn't really look
like that, but it's the way I see it in my mind. That's my story and I'm
sticking to it.
The brochure will look something like the picture at left.
